Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow: Zillah Review
Released: October 5th (This is actually coming LATER for Japan?!)
Dev(s): MercurySteam and help from Kojima Productions
Genre: Action-Adventure/Hack 'N' Slash
Single Player
Story Value: 91
This has an average story but builds, twists, and gets more complex throughout the game. (Gabriel Belmont is trying to "resurrect" or talk to his wife)
That makes this a reboot of the franchise's story fresh and exciting.
Graphics: 93
Even with the average character models, these simply AMAZING environments, colorful and well modeled enemies, array of colors, makes this game SHINE.
Gameplay: 97
Sure, this game starts off slow and might appear as dull, but this game picks up and it's totally worth it.
Amazing/Epic fu*king boss battles, exploration...... and the end? You really need to play this, simple.
Very nice gameplay length also and VERY challenging.
By grabbing all action/adventure games, mashing them with the signature Castlevania feeling, makes the gameplay of this reboot AMAZING.
Audio: 92
Not amazing but it wont leave any scar. Actually polish.
The scottish accent of Gabriel will catch you off guard, but most of the characters have great voices and Mercury/Kojima didn't mess up on this.
Replay Value: 88
This Single Player Hack 'N' Slash really is worth at least one more playthrough.
In the end, this game gets a 96 from me.
End Notes:
This game is really worth the 60 bucks new. Really a keeper.
If you wanna bash this because of the past 3D Castlevanias, prepare to spit up your words, by the Combat Cross of Gabriel Belmont noob.
