Meaning they received MUCH more advertisement than the X360 version. If a game is advertised well on a specific platform, and sparks interest in a consumer, it WILL sell alot. This has nothing to do with the miniscule lifetime gap, or what the 360/PS3 userbase's "preferred genre" is.

sorry to break it to you but in every single resident evil 5 advert i saw it had the XBOX 360 logo at the end no mention of anything else. also in ffxiii adverts the majority were 360 only.

Dude...FFXIII was in development for a LONG time. For most of it's development it was known as a PS3 exclusive. Final Fantasy was extremely popular on PS1 and PS2. Do the friggen math.

That's where you're wrong. The X360 version got advertised a little bit before the game released in NA and Europe. The fact is though, it was advertised as a PS3 exclusive for most of it's development.

Plus long term Final Fantasy Fans would be more keen towards the PS3 version.
