PS3 Exclusives Which Truly Utilize Blu-Ray

1. Uncharted 2 - 23GB

Uncharted 2 is arguably the best Ps3 game, with crispy textures and pre-rendered cutscenes. It looks as good as CGI. UC2 takes 23GB on the disc and does a mighty fine job since it does not require any installs. Wish more developers used the streaming technique on the PS3 as efficiently as Naughty Dog did.



2. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots - 33.2GB

For a game that is known to have a lot of cutscenes 33.2 GB seems a lot less. The game was a masterpiece with a lot of perfect scores. Kojima once said 50GB disc space wasn’t enough for MGS4 so we wonder what happened? We know the final build is nothing like the alpha build running on a PS3 devkit from 2006. This game really takes the usage of a Blu-Ray disc to another level altogether.


3. God of War 3 - 40GB

This was the only other game along with MGS 4 that wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for Bluray. Unlike most games, God of War 3 uses the in game engine to render each pixel in the cutscenes and there is not a second of pre rendered or recorded footage in the game. Truly remarkable and a fine display of the Blu-Ray’s disc’s prowess.
