Top 5 Reasons To Buy "Medal of Honor"
5. Battlefield 3 beta - On 30 July 2010, EA announced that purchasers of the Limited Edition of Medal of Honor for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will receive an invitation to the beta contingent on Beta availability within 1 year of Medal of Honor's release on October 12.
4. Medal of Honor: Frontline - A Remastered version of Frontline will be included in the PlayStation 3 Exclusive special edition of Medal of Honor.
3. Multiplayer - Medal of Honor's multiplayer is being developed by EA Digital Illusions CE. Multiplayer is class based, with three classes available - Rifleman, Special Ops, and Sniper. Each class has its own set of weapons. The player earns experience during gameplay to level up and unlock additional weapons and weapon accessories. For example, at the start of the game the sniper class does not have a scope available, and the player must reach level 3 to unlock a combat scope.
If a player earns a certain amount of points before dying, called a scorechain, he or she earns a choice of an offensive support action such as a mortar strike or missile attack or a defensive support action such as intel or ammo. The player is not limited to one special weapon per life and can earn them continuously.
Gameplay features two opposing sides, the Coalition against the Opposing Forces. The Coalition troops use American equipment such as the M16A4, while the Opposing Forces represent Taliban forces and use according equipment such as the AK-47. Each weapon is designed to have an exact equivalent on both teams.
2. Campagin - Medal of Honor will feature a single-player campaign that takes place in 2002, in which the player will control multiple characters from both the “Tier 1” and “Big Military” perspectives. The storyline will follow several "Tier One Operators" working under the National Command Authority in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. Players will also play as a US Army Ranger and an Apache helicopter gunner, fighting on a larger scale than the "Tier 1 Ops" campaign, as players will then only be a small part of the "war machine". The campaign will be heavily weighted (with regards to playtime) in favor of the Tier 1 operators.
1. Gameplay - As a first-person shooter, Medal of Honor features modern military combat, primarily from the perspective of infantry soldiers. The player will be armed with various authentic modern military small arms and placed in combat designed to simulate modern warfare.
The gameplay is designed to be realistic, and to this end EA has hired several consultants from the United States military. Typical in-game objectives are expected to be similar to those issued in real life such as raiding terrorist hideouts, hostage rescues and undercover operations. The single player is set to include drivable vehicles such as helicopters, jeeps, and quad bikes.
The gameplay uses recharging health, rather than fixed health points. If the player is wounded, the screen turns red, and the player must avoid taking damage for several seconds to return to full health.
The game features iron sights as well as red dot sights and other aiming accessories. The player will shoot much more accurately while using the weapon's sights than when firing from the hip.

Re: Top 5 Reasons To Buy "Medal of Honor"
Lol nearly all these reasons are shared with just about every FPS out there.
1. COD 4 had the SAS and USMC and the campaign was heavily weighted towards the SAS (because they are better )
2. The gameplay idea of using iron-sights for better accuracy and recharging health is an ancient concept now.
3. Multiplayer scorechains, call in mortar and airstrikes. Unlock scopes and accessories. Deja vu much? coughkillstreakrewardscough
The only real difference here is the beta invite and the PS3 version gets MOH FL.
I'll be buying it, but this wasnt exactly the best list of reasons.

I'm glad that you autoheal. I hate games that make you use a medpack. That's so outdated.

Personally, I hate Autoheal. it makes no sense why you can't just find a medpack and heal yourself. autoheal makes the game to easy IMO.

If your going to pay full price for a game. The campagin should be the reason alone to buy it. Online is just a feature.

No it shouldn't...what about MMOs or other online only games? There are games people buy just to play online and some games people buy just for the campaign and games people buy for both.

That doesn't even..
Using MMOs as an example is awful. The only feature that game brings is online. They don't have stories.

Actually, most MMOs do have a backstory. He said that the campaign should be the only reason to buy a game. So if you weren't allowed to play online and could only play the campaign in Medal of Honor, Killzone 3, or some other FPS would you still buy them it full price? And would you buy it if you were able to enjoy all it's features? The campaign is also only a feature.

Okay were does 80%-90% of development time and money goes towards? The campagin of course... That is what you are really paying for. Like I said before that online is only a feature, an optional thing to do after you beat the game.BlackStigma wrote:SlySonji wrote:BlackStigma wrote:Padders wrote:If your going to pay full price for a game.
