Is Microsoft putting Halo at risk
http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/30592/Analysis_Is_Microsoft_Putting_Halo_At_Risk.php"There's no explicit strategy that says we're to ship a Halo game every year,” he said. “I will say I think one Halo game every three years - which was kind of our old cadence – is probably not frequent enough."
Re: Is Microsoft putting Halo at risk
I think they should be done with Halo.... Maybe a Harvest Halo. But they should seriously just stop with Halo...

I would like a Halo Wars 2, and a Halo 4, not sure what i'd want beyond that though.

Halo is their flag ship franchise. They'll be left with Gears and that is completely owned by Epic. I honestly don;t see how any future xbox systems would be appealing without Halo. Bad enough Bungie is not making them.

Unless they do some sort of Halo episodes where they could follow all the battles in the novels i don't see what they could do.
Plus i wouldnt recommend bringing out a game every year as that will inducewhat i like to call the "Call of Duty Effect". Thats when the games come out so frequently theres simply no time to implement new gameplay ideas or improve the graphics.

Oh, you have got a good point. Madden did that before call of duty.

No Halo at all guys?
Come on... Even if it will get milked, as long as it's a great game, I wouldn't mind Halo 20.

If it is good, then I wont mind it. But if they release one so close to another like Activision and CoD then it is bound to go down hill.

The next Halo should not be even considered until the next Xbox. Although Im guessing we will see Halo Wars 2 or something of that nature.

I wouldn't mind Halo Wars 2, since Halo Wars was a great console RTS, but any other Halo would not be a good choice.
