I don't get why the Republic bash "Gran Turismo 5" i mean it's way better then all the "Forza Motorsport" titles put together with out a doubt.

Even if they were to make "Forza Motorsport 4" it still wouldn't be better then "Gran Turismo 5". I have nothing against "Forza Motorsport" but bashing "Gran Turismo" makes no type of sense.

The one thing that Forza has over GT is the auction house feature other than that I can't think of anything else. Either way I can't wait for GT5 and Forza 3 Ultimate Edition

too long development time

good games take a long time to make. Alan Wake took 6 years to finish, SC: Conviction took 5 years (the devs actually had to restart making the game again because they screwed up so bad)

crappy car damage

GT5 has real time damage which looks 1000x better than Forza's and the picture that was shown on the Republic was pixelated and was probably chosen by OP to make the damage look bad.

800 upscaled ps2 cars

this is true but from what I have seen they look a 10x better than Forza 3's cars. The lighting on them is better and they look better overall.
