Dead rising 2 written review by sulley Dead-rising-2-game
Dead Rising 2 was devoloped in a partnership between Capcom and Blue castle games, Keiji Inafune and the original Dead Rising team returned to create the sequel. Dead Rising 2 originally had an early 2010 release date but was pushed back to September 28th in North America, and in Europe it was released on September 24th. (4 days earlier bitches, hahah) Dead Rising 2 was released on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Dead Rising 2's main protagonist is Chuck Greene, who is a motocross champion and has to compete in the game show TIR (Terror is Reality) so he can get money to buy his daughter a controversial medicine called “Zombrex” so he can stop her turning into a zombie.

The main game play aspects of Dead Rising 2 comprises of a 7 case long main storyline, also this is coupled with the side missions of saving the survivors and escorting them back to the safe house or killing the many psychopaths. Or simply the player can ignore all of these and kill zombies and find all the different cool and funny weapons and weapon combos.

The game has online features which are new to the Dead Rising series, the game features a 2 player online co-op mode where 2 friends can team up against the zombie horde or play the entire story together. The game also has a 4 play competitive version of Terror is Reality where 4 players can compete in a series of games to earn money that then can be transferred over to the single player game. The 2 player co-op feature is great there is no restrictions on what you can do from the single player to the multi player but both players will be playing as Chuck Greene so no Frank West here guys.

The graphics are good but they are not going to blow you away, the game can have up to 7000 zombies on screen though, but I have experienced a few drops in frame rate on occasion but it wasn’t anything major.

The music in this game is good, the game is full of stereotypical mall or shopping center music but when you are near a psychopath there is some awesome rock/metal soundtrack that basically acts as a warning and pumps the player up. But the music isn’t very memorable unlike some of their other series like Megaman that has many instantly recognisable scores.

The weapons are the main focus in this game and I have one word for them “WOW!!” some of the weapons you can use are just awesome. Like the “massager” which appears to be a dildo. And the combos are epic, like boxing gloves and a bowie knife to make some wolverine claws and a flashlight and some gems to make a LIGHTSABER!!!! “geekgasm!!!” there are literally thousands of ways to kill zombies in this game and this is where the game gets its charm.

I would give this game a buy if you are a fan of Capcom or you are a fan of the original Dead Rising, but I seriously would urge everyone to give it a try as it does have its flaws but its a great game non the less.

You would be missing out if you didn’t at least rent it and tried it out.

I hope you enjoyed the review, sorry its a bit wordy
