Will "Gran Turismo 5" Sell Over 10 Million?

As of 2010 "Gran Turismo" is the highest-selling PlayStation exclusive franchise of all time. Even way higher then the "Halo" franchise.

Gran Turismo (PS)..... 10.85
Gran Turismo 2 (PS)..... 9.37
Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec (PS2)..... 14.89
Gran Turismo 4 (PS2)..... 10.54

There is no doubt that "Gran Turismo 5" will probably be the top-selling game on PS3. But since PS3 isn't the #1 console like PSOne and PS2 was back in the day, does that mean it will sell alot less then the previous games? And if so will it help PS3 outsell the Xbox 360 this year?

What you guys think?

Gran Turismo 5 will sell no where near 10 million I'm afraid. Prologue even when bundled with the PS3 only sold around 4 million. I'm guessing maybe around 6 million sales for it. And a lot of fans of Gran Turismo have probably don't even care for it anymore because it's been so long when it's been the PS3's "flagship title".

Oc it will be the best simulation game out there, and it will have the best graphics, but quality doesn't equal sales. Uncharted 2 should have sold more than any other game this generation, because it's mainstream but still delivers the best quality imo, but its sales will probably never pass 5 million. You all underestimate the brand of Gran Turismo, when prologue was released the PS3 was a very expensive machine, With the slim and even a possible price drop between now and November.

just rember GT5 prologue was just a demo 4 million copies sold for a demo think about it !
That is more than a full game like uncharted 2 which is just under 3miillion I think.

Europeans love the series and will be all over it when it releases and with the edition of NASCAR and WRC even more people will be draw to it.

Never passing 5 million LOL re-think that

GT5 will be a system seller and I predict it to be the best selling game on PS3 this Gen, a very bold statement but it's GT and I love it Silly

It will definitely selll more than 10 million, the prologue sold 3 million THE PROLOGUE, "lot of fans of Gran Turismo probably don't even care for it anymore" (sounds like mld), they may be angry about the time it' took but no way ther not buying it, me included. the game is a master piece. and Sony will hype it so much, after all it is the biggest sony franchise the best selling franchise.

It might sell more than 10 million, the prologue selling 4 million was because people knew it was just the prologue. And also the PS3 required you sell your children into slavery so you could afford one.

It might break 10 million eventually over a period of 6 years. I don't like GT, but all my friends are waiting for this game.

There's still a lot of fans for this game especially the Europeans. It might sell close to 10 million or maybe more.

Yeah, it won't sell 10Mil plus because its DEMO sold 5Million. Plus, thats like saying they announced Reach 4 years ago, and they say it will be released in 2012. You would still be interested in it.

Side-Note, Twisted Metal will sell 10Mil+

I doubt it will sell close to 10 million, but I have confidence that it will sell at least 4 million, and while it will help push PS3 sales, there's no way PS3 will outsell 360 by the end of the year, and if PS3 ever does outsell 360, it won't happen until mid-late 2011 or even 2012.
