God of War 3 remains the exclusive to beat in 2010 on HD consoles

I actually started playing the challenge of Olympus i think thats what its called lol tonite. that shit is tougher then i expected. love this game eventually ill go back threw and find all the eyes, and feathers etc on my 2nd time around

Videogames this year, its just behind Mass Effect 2. Absolutely loved GoW 3!

I keep on saying that.

Loved it while it lasted, but it's got some SERIOUS competition from Bayonetta. God of War 3 has graphics, glorious (by console standards) native 720p HD, story, the 'I feel freaking awesome while playing this' factor and the AAA scores to boot.

Bayonetta, however, has more depth, more challenging, more replay value (more collectibles, and the scoring system, MANY more unlockables), and the crazy fast gameplay (even on the PS3 version) that can only come from the mind of Hideki Kamiya.

In terms of 'wow' factor they're quite evenly matched, but that's because they're styled differently. God of War is brutal and gory, while Bayonetta is like Devil May Cry on crack. In God of War you rip a god's head off. In Bayonetta, you PUNCH A GOD INTO THE FUCKING SUN.

Their strengths kinda balance each other out, I love them both so much. And even though Bayonetta has more depth and is more challenging (even picking 'normal' difficulty on my first run through lead to several deaths per level) doesn't necessarilly mean it has better gameplay - that's subjective.

I personally prefer God of War a bit more, because nothing in God Of War 3 stood out as being awful, but Bayonetta's story made about as much sense as circular sudoku.
