Why did you buy your consoles?

Discuss the reasons why you bought any of your consoles here:

PS3: Just because the PS2.

Wii: It was cheap and I wanted to play SSBB & Mario Kart. =/

Maybe 360?: Limbo, Gears 3, Halo: Reach. The only thing that's getting me is the Online. That's it.

Xbox 360: Gears Of War and Halo 3. Plus i didn't have the money for the PS3 back then plus it was cheaper than the PS3.

PS3: Because of PS2's success plus the Exclusives and the Graphics.

the wii : i was impressed with motion gaming.
the 360 : the hype
the PS3 : i knew i was buying it sooner or later (gow3, R&C, and
team ico next game tlg...), when MGS4 came out enough was enough, i run
to buy one.

ds : i tried it, it's was fun, i baught it
psp : it's a playstation portable , nuff said.

PC : i hate to play FPS on a console controller , i love a little bit MMO, and i am a big fun of RTS.

PS3. Because it only does everything. But seriously i was never an Xbox fan, and Nintendo had gone casual with the Wii. So i brought a PS3 instead.

Wii: Cheapest gaming platform, plus I went through a causal phase back then
360: Became hardcore again
PS3: inFAMOUS, Uncharted 2, and Heavy Rain

PSP - it was free
DS - a lot of innovative and fun games
PS3 - MGS4, GOW3, GT5 and Killzone 2

Wii - will get it once the new Kirby and Donkey Kong come out

Wii-I will always buy the nintendo console first

PS3-I wanted play the hot new games...and play online >_>

I should've worded it better, I always play the nintendo games, I have always enjoyed the nintendo games the most, so it would make sense. Obviously, if the console was garbage I wouldn't buy it

Also, I knew that at the moment of launch, there was going to be open fire on Sony. But I also knew that Sony had amazing first-party developers

Pc - I was a Pc-only Gamer back then
Psp - I dont reallly like the ds ,but i wanted a mobile gaming device.
Ps3 - I wanted to play many games that dont make it to the Pc, so i decided to buy a Ps3 and not a 360 after
I compared them for hours

360 - I was originally saving up for a PS3, but it was too expensive and 360 had Halo. So I got the premium 360 bundle with Forza 2 and Marval Ultimate Alliance.

PS3 - It's actually my brothers, although most the games are mine. He wanted a blueray player, and I convinced him to get a PS3 to play games too.

Not a console but nobody else seems to care; DS - I was originally saving up for a PSP, but it was too expensive and the DS had Pokemon.

Playstation 3: Well Sony products never let me down.

Nintendo Wii: Zelda and Metroid

Xbox 360: Had a nice pay check from the Aussie gov. Soo I brought a Xbox 360

PS3 because i was a huge fan of the ps2 and God of War 3 and other great exclusives

NES: Dad bought it when I was 2 years old. My first memories are of playing Duck Hunt and Mario.

Sega Genesis: Dad bought it for me because Sonic was all the rage back then.

SNES: Don't remember how I got this, but I loved the Spawn game I got with it.

N64: I remember almost crapping my pants when I saw the screen shots of a 3D Mario game in Nintendo Power. Begged to get one for Christmas.

Playstation 2: Grand Theft Auto III was the shit in 2001. Another Christmas present I begged for.

Gamecube: First console I bought with my own money. At a pawn shop for $60 around the end of it's life cycle. Wanted to play Metroid Prime & Resident Evil 4.

DS lite: I had always wanted a handheld. When New Super Mario Bros came out, I knew it was time.

Wii: Jumped on the motion control bandwagon. I had to play Twilight Princess asap.

PS3: Bought the 40gig Spider-Man 3 bundle when the price dropped to $400. Really wanted to play COD4 and Motorstorm

Xbox360: A surprise Christmas present from the folks. Didn't even ask for it.

PSPgo: Wanted a MP3 player I could also use for games. Girlfriend bought it for me for my birthday.

For this gen....

Wii:because at that time it had the games I loved on it,I grew up on nintendo's franchises.Plus motion control greatly got my interest

360:Because after 2 years of only wii I started to crave more hardcore games like RTS,RPG's and shooters.Also because it had Halo,Gears and Fable 2(those 3 franchises greatly had my interest at that time).

DS:Becuase I lvoed the GBA and the DS looked great

Soon PS3:Becuase of Blu Ray.Great blu ray player deal.Plus I want to play KZ and Resistance badly.
