Anyone own a PSPgo?
I have one, I love it. All I really use it for are to play games and/or download games. I still think the DS is better. But the PSPgo is good. Reason I got it is because of 1. Valkyria Chronicles 2, and 2. I did not own a previous PSP or any games.
Re: Anyone own a PSPgo?
I did, I sold it the second day I had it for a PSP 3000, because its cheaper, plays UMD and DLC games, and the memory sticks are cheaper

Re: Anyone own a PSPgo?
Funny you should ask. I just bought one today from Target. They had a $50 off sale on it, plus another 10% off because I was approved for one of their credit cards. I've only played with it for a couple hours, but so far I love it. Downloaded Chains of Olympus (freaking awesome) and copied over Final Fantasy VII and a few TV shows and movies. The picture quality is outstanding! I've never owned a UMD PSP so I can't really compare them. I wanted the GO because it's smaller and can fit easily in my pocket. Plus, if I had bought the 3000 model and a 16 gig memory card, it would of been well over $190 (what I paid for the GO)
So yeah, so far I think it's badass.

Almost everyone I'm interested in is though. The UMB PSPs are too big and bulky to be portable. They almost remind me of the game gear, but not quite as bad.
I do agree $250 is overpriced. That's why I've been waiting for a deal.

Its UMD and the PSP3000 isn't buch larger than the go, its wider, will the PSPgo is thicker. Both fit in my pocket comfortably.Invincible wrote:Sir.Zillah wrote:- compared to the other PSP's it's shit .

Re: Anyone own a PSPgo?
No, you had PSP-1000, PSP S&L, PSP-3000, and PSPgo.solidstudios wrote:yep. if it played UMDs it wouldn't be so bad. but that would make it a psp 4000?Sir.Zillah wrote:- compared to the other PSP's it's shit .

Re: Anyone own a PSPgo?
I love the design of the PSP Go. It's so much sleeker and sexier then the 3000 model. It also let's you pause/save in the middle of a game and start back right where you left off. The UMD models won't let you do that.
It does suck that some of the games on PSN are seriously overpriced. I don't mind paying a little bit more, but some games, like Resistance: Retribution, are $40 in the store and $15 on Amazon.com That's just bullshit.

And you can't sell them back. BTW, you can save your progress in a game on the UMD PSPs by quickly flicking the power switch forward, but you can't go to the XMB like in the PSPgo.

Re: Anyone own a PSPgo?
It's a cool system but let's face it, any other psp is better due to the larger library.

Re: Anyone own a PSPgo?
Ive got the white pspgo and for my needs it does the trick I can store music, transfer digital copies of movies that come with most blu rays these days to it, and I can play games. I have god of war, def jam ny, hot shots golf , and pinball heroes, and going to DL modnation for it as soon as it becomes availible. That being said if your into home brew or a bigger game library your better off with a PSP 3000.
Re: Anyone own a PSPgo?
the pspgo is a waste of money, you can't tansfer your UMDs to thing, so you have to rebuy them, no thanks you, plus i have a few japanese game and you can't guy those for here for the pspgo

I will never own one because I don't agree with solely digital distribution.

Re: Anyone own a PSPgo?
nope, not least due to the fact it's not hackable, since my 1000 is all I need
hack it in under 10 minutes, download the latest games for it, plus all the emulators I have on my memory stick

I do. Never owned a PSP. The design is awesome and so are the games. It is convenient to download games, rather than having all these UMDs.

I already had a Wii, PS3, 360, & DS. So it's not like I was hurting for a system to play some games on.
In the case of the PSP, I was willing to trade substance for style. It looks so much sexier then the fat models.

I am thinking of buying one, but i don't know how to buy the games for it. As there is no disc drive at the back.

You can buy game cards with redeemable codes at most stores. Or just download the games from the Playstation Store on to your PSP, PC, or PS3.

Re: Anyone own a PSPgo?
Yeah, just like Invincible said.
You can redeem codes. The only down part about it is you can't sell your games.
But yeah, you can still get the good games.
I just bought a PSPGo for 40 bucks. Steal.

Yeah thanks for the info.
Also that's ridiculously cheap you got it for that price. Where did you get that from?
