"Gran Turismo 5" Reviews!

An 86? LOL at some of the reviews. The game was obviously too hard for some of the reviewers.

The only thing I don't understand is that none of the reviewers have really played the online portion or unlocked ''A-Spec Damage.''

Perfect example: they didn't even review the online portion, and they haven't unlocked the full damage model yet. They deduct for audio, even though they didn't even mention custom-soundtracks...

I stick by what Alan said. The game is going to get troll reviews because it didn't live up to people's IMPOSSIBLE expectations.

Then again, I don't really give a fuck about it's reviews.


Also, this game is fucking awesome. I've been playing it all day nonstop.

Racing Sims = FUCKING BORING!!!! I almost fell asleep watching the IGN impression video. Thank God my copy of Forza 3 was nicked and I bought it for like 15 euro.

I knew the game would be good. 86 is great, and I'm sure more review scores will come pouring in.

86 is total shit for a game like GT and you know it ^^

A majority of the Gran Turismo games have scored below a 90.

Gran Turismo 5 - 86
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue - 80
Gran Turismo 4 - 89
Gran Turismo (PSP) - 74
Gran Turismo HD Concept - 82

The only ones I could find that scored above a 90 were the original Gran Turismo (96), Gran Turismo 2 (92), and Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec (95).

So you either admit that Polyphony Digital has failed a majority of its goals, or admit that 86 is a good score.

Well I think every developer aims for a AAA-scoring game, but looking at the review scores for the GT games, GT5 did well compared to other GT games.

Damn, I knew the delays and the hype would dock the review scores. Fucking gay.

Whoever would take them reviews off Metacritic as legit are in some way mentally handicapped. LOL

Most of them were like "RACING SIMS ARE BORING".

I read through IGN's review (8.5) though.

From what I can tell, it was pretty legitimate. For about a whole page they talked about how breathtaking the Premium models look and they exposed the flaws of the standard cars. The customization (according to them) is heavily limited even compared to previous GT games. The damage model isn't really good even on the Premium models. The GT5 career mode suffers the same grinding problems like the previous GT games. Zombie AI hasn't changed. Online options are limited but there are no connection issues even with 16 cars on the track.

I agree.

Everyone on here seems to think an AA score is shit. Hell, people thought Halo Reach's 91 metascore was "underwhelming".

I think any game that scores over an 80 is a quality title.

It still makes me wonder how a piece of shit like Black Ops scores higher than GT5.

I agree totally..Fuck 'em I say..Although I can't figure out how to flippin transfer cars from my PSP to my PS3..when I go to options and under "other" and begin to do the transfer, it just waits for for it connect. I'm on USB mode when it does it..Or should I have to be under some menu in the game of my PSP? Any help is appreciated if you or anyone knows.

I see anything scoring 5 and under being bad. 6 is meh. 7 is decent/good. 8 is good/great. 9 is great. 10 is a masterpiece.

But yeah, people seem to think that only AAA games are good. AA and A still have the letter "A" in them, you know.

Why do people think that AA games are bad? AA games are GREAT.
