New Xbox 360 Announced Slim-hands-01-top

The new design will be slimmer, come with built-in Wi-Fi, a quieter engine, and an internal 250GB hard drive. It will retail for $299, will come with a black wireless controller, and will be on store shelves next week.

I myself am excited. I'm not in love with the design, but the features look sick. I've been thinking about getting a 360 in my room, and this one is perfect.

Kotaku ran some specs on it. Apparently the buttons on the console are touch-based.

Couldn't they have made it slimmer like the PS3 Slim? I'm mean so what if the new redesign has built-in Wi-Fi
and 250GB? PS3 Slim is slimmer and has built-in Wi-Fi for almost a year, and no power brick, with an 500GB hard drive coming out. Nothing new here really >_>

Sorry if i sound like a fanboy. It is E3 after all :-P

True, the new 360 (or as I like to call it, the Re60) isn't doing anything new, but it's a big deal for people who only own a 360.

Microsoft just can't please you people, can they? You complain about the 360 being loud and having an external power supply. Then Microsoft fixes it, and you complain about them copying Sony.

Oh no, don't get me wrong. I am very pleased that they removed their Wii as a power supply and added Wi-Fi. I'm also surprised they managed to cut down on the yelling of their console. But you can't deny that what they did was take the Slim features and put it on their console. The reason I said this was because remember when everyone thought that Move was a Wii rip-off? Everyone thought that they were the SAME THING. I said it to prove a point. Not to bash the console.

Yes, the power supply is internal now.

Well thats probably the best new feature, and its a really good improvement over the old 360 overall if the hardware is finaly reliable now. After looking at it several times, i can finaly say , that it looks awesome! Shiny black fin ftw!^^

The RROD will never be truly fixed, but the failure rate is fairly low now. I would imagine it's even lower in the new 360 design models. Microsoft also gave it an internal power supply (meaning no hefty power brick), an internal HDD, and a silent motor.

TRF: The power supply is still external. Only not as big as the previous models
