INFO
-This game has been in production for years.
-The game will be utilizing a brand new engine.
-The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a direct sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
-Skyrim is set 200 years after Oblivion.
-It takes place in Skyrim, a region north of Cyrodiil (setting of Oblivion).
-The game eventually logs a huge storehouse of knowledge about how you've played, and subsequently tailors content to your capabilities and experiences. Entering a city, a young woman might approach you and beg you to save her daughter from kidnappers. The game will look at the nearby dungeons you've explored, automatically set the mission in a place you've never visited, and designate opponents that are appropriately matched to your strengths and weaknesses.
-Enchanting makes a return as one of 18 skills in the game. Mysticism does not.
-There is no class system, as every level contributes to your overall level.
-Skyrim features a perk system much like Fallout 3.
-The level soft-caps at 50, meaning you can still level up after that, but it takes a lot longer.
-The game caters to those who want to master a certain profession as well as those who want to be able to learn everything.
-Improved third-person view
-You play as the Dragonborn, a dragon hunter, who must stop the evil dragon god and end his return to the mortal world.
-In combat, you assign a function to each hand, so you may end up with things like a sword and magic, two swords, a sword and shield, etc.
-When you level up, you can increase your overall health, magicka, or stamina.
-Skyrim allows you to sprint.
-The game features five massive cities, as well as a wider variety of caves and dungeons.
-Quest selection is determined by character build. For example, being a mage allows you to obtain quests that you wouldn't normally be able to obtain.
-When you drop a weapon, it may disappear. A peasant may pick it up or two men might fight over who gets it or someone might simply give it back to you.
-Unfortunately, level scaling is still present.
-Weapon smithing is possible in Skyrim.
-Characters act like people would in conversations, walking around and doing chores and such while talking to you.
-The game is being narrated by Max von Sydow (The Greatest Story Ever Told, The Exorcist, etc.)
