You kinda want people to buy the game for the story and the actual game itself though, not to see if a secondary charachter lives or dies. That would be like purchasing MGS4 just to see if it has Johnny Sasaki in it again.

We don't know if he will be a secondary character or not. Benjamin Carmine had a pretty big role in Gears of War 2.
