Which 2D/3D Fighter should I get?
No section really fits this thread so I'll place it here.
I've been looking for a good fighter that suits me. Super Street Fighter 4 wasn't really my style so we can eliminate that.
So far I've been thinking of getting:
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift - Love the art style, characters, and overall gameplay looks awesome.
Tekken 6 - Because Zillah referred it to me n,n
Soul Calibur 4 - Heard many great things from my Fighting fan friends.
Any suggestions?

I say Soul Calibur 4, i personaly i liked Soul Calibur 4 more than Tekken 6 although don't expect it to have trophies because it's a 2008 game.

Why? I need reasons!
I'm leaning towards BlazBlue right now.

Well for the record the online on both games is broken(Input lag depending on your connection), In Soul Calibur 4 there are finishing moves and you can make your own character, also the Final Boss in Soul Calibur 4 is playable and he is not cheap like Azazel in Tekken 6.Sonji wrote:Why? Re: Which 2D/3D Fighter should I get?
My connection is pretty awesome so I'm not worried about that.
Character Creation isn't much to make me buy SC4.
Anything else I should know about?

Yes, unlike Tekken 6 Soul Calibur 4 has DLC, which among them is Yoda which he was exclusive to the Xbox 360 version, and don't expect the game to have trophies since it's a 2008 game, but there are achievements that the game itself has called "Honors" and when you earn a certain amount of Honors you will unlock new items to customize your created characters, also it doesn't matter if your own connection is good, the other player you are fighting must have a good one too otherwise the lag will own you both.

BlazBlue only has twelve characters. It has Remote Play, but the lag would be lethal.
Zillah suggested you get Tekken 6, that's reason enough not to buy it.

$20 is nothing. I make that by farting in a can and selling it as a stink bomb.
Re: Which 2D/3D Fighter should I get?
I just spent $60 on StarCraft II.
$40 is a lot right now.
So, I guess I will most likely be getting SC4. Unless someone can convince me otherwise.

Re: Which 2D/3D Fighter should I get?
Really, you should only take suggestions from the people who PLAY FIGHTING GAMES LIKE THEY DO THEIR OTHER GAMES. Me. If Asiankid ever comes back. A few more people.
I would suggest: Tekken 6 A lot of characters and many different styles, unlike games like Soulcaliber. (No offense)
It's a game that's easy to play but if you're skilled, you become a good opponent.
Super Street Fighter IV: This is a very "YOU NEED TO PRACTICE" type of game. Also, you can't play with everybody and except to kick ass online cause most of everybody is skilled as hell.
You don't like this one though.
Also, i'll move this to GENERAL GAMING

Re: Which 2D/3D Fighter should I get?
Ah, I figured since I was talking about the PS3 version I might as well put it in the PS3 Games section. Thanks for moving it though.
I've never really been a Tekken fan Zillah. I don't even like the character's that much. But I'm just pulling shit out of my ass because I have yet to play Tekken 6

Re: Which 2D/3D Fighter should I get?
BlazBlue Continuum Shift. Someone just got into the series at the XBR and he is liking it. Totally but it.
Soul Calibur 4. Get SC2
Tekken 6. Itsa great 3d fighting game and I think you would enjoy it.
My suggestions
King of Fighters XIII. I've seen some footage and its lookin impressive. The new art style is amazing, and there is some gameplay elements. I know, there aren't any new characters (For now) but still. But its not out yet...

Re: Which 2D/3D Fighter should I get?
BlazBlue is great from what I hear, but has a learning curve. I haven't heard many good things about Tekken 6. Soul Calibur IV is an excellent game, but there are some balancing issues with Yoda and Starkiller (although if you are on the PS3, you shouldn't have to worry about Yoda). Soul Calibur II is easily the best in the series. Get it for Gamecube if you can, and if not, PS2. Super Street Fighter IV is also a great choice.
Re: Which 2D/3D Fighter should I get?
I would pick Soul Calibur 4.

Tekken 6 is garbage. If you were a fan of the series last gen, you will be disappointed. Virtua Fighter 5, although old, is a quality game.
