What is the difference between "Battlefield" and "Battlefield: Bad Company" series? And if their a lot alike then what would be the point in making "Battlefield: Bad Company 3" if "Battlefield 3" is already in development?

Well i think BF3 wont have a Campaign and it will have jets online. Bad Companys had a improved campaign and is made to run on consoles but as PSN and XBL have got better each year... DICE now can make a better Online game (BF3)

The Battlefield games are all really the same but with different settings. Bad Company just happens to follow the story of a certain army regiment.

well in the PC exclusive Battlefield games, the multiplayer is on a whole other scale of....epicness. you can drive huge battle cruisers, jets (depending on which battlefield game your playing), boats, etc. plus the number of players in each server is a whole lot bigger too
