Guys, The Roots

I think some of you forgot the reason that you game..
So, explain:

Me?

I game for fun & art.
Fun: I don't care what console it's on and I care 3.9% about the story. It can be fun as hell and who cares if it's on the atari.
Art: Graphics. I love beautiful games. flOw, Flower, Crysis 2 show great graphics & art. This is about 19.8% effect on a game. The rest is just pure fun.

Competitive Games are a fun for me too. (Fighter)

Competitive games make it more interesting.

I enjoy a game mainly for its gameplay. If it doesn't have good gameplay, then it's not fun playing. However, a lot of times the story is what gets me through the campaign. Of all the games I've played this year, I only finished Splinter Cell: Conviction and Heavy Rain. Why? Because I loved the stories so much.

How about we do it like this; Name the Top 3 reasons why you game:

1. Fun (Gameplay)
2. Music
3. Art.

I like my games to make me feel like i'm the character exploring sci-fi/fantasy worlds.

I don't play any game online until i'm done with the campaign.

I like that part where I said 3 things.

Same. I might try the online once before I finish the campaign, but generally I won't give my full attention to the online component until I've finished the campaign. The only exception recently was Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

5-Exploration
All these apply to everything but FPS as I play them strictly for online

obviously point being made that we don't need to include fun in what u look for in a game...

I care about everything, from music over graphics to gameplay and story.

1.Gameplay
2.Story
3.Style

I enjoy games because of their story. The story is what pulls you in and makes you want to know more. Without a story, a game can be fun, but it wouldn't be the same.

I also care about the art style of the game. Usually, if a game has amazing graphics, it will probably be in my library.

Gameplay. It all comes down to gameplay. If its awesome, its awesome. However, I care much more about the story. 30% Gameplay 70% Story.
