Xbox Live > PSN
- Can someone tell me what XBL has over PSN?
Not any preferences, just facts/semi-opinions .

-Cross-game chat
-MSN integration
-Zune marketplace
Plus you get a service that is updated and managed more frequently. Plus, dedicated servers can be shut down. P2P is up as long as there are people to play it.

XBL 1 still had over 1 million active users that played at least every month. Plus tons of P2P servers are closed every month. No point there.
XBL has more mics.

Re: Xbox Live > PSN
Fifty dollars a year buys:
- control over my account from a PC, messaging from a PC, adding and removing people from my FL from a PC.
- starting Downloads on my 360 from a PC
- Cross game chat...(actually you can cross game chat with one person for free from a silver account)
- Party chat
- Timed exclusives for some good DLC
- The ability to never hear a mouthy racist mouth ever again. Once you mute someone on XBL they are muted for ever, no matter what.
- 98 people on my friends list that I REALLY enjoyed playing, and just talking online with.
For every mouthy person on XBL there are at least nine really cool people, that I want to talk to. On PSN i can only guess that the people I really want to talk to don't have a mic, or they are on skype.
Lastly Fifty dollars a year has bought me a solid gaming experience for the past 5 years between the Xbox (1) and the 360. I just got my PS3 and I love it. I just don't find as of yet, the want to turn on my PS3 as much as I wanted to turn on my 360 when I had it. 5 years ago PSN was a COMPLETE failure. Its almost there, but not quite.
These are just my opinions given a set of facts. You may not see them the same way and thats cool.

Lastly Zero dollars a year has bought me a solid gaming experience for the whole generation on the PS3. I just got my 360 and I hate it. I just don't find it offer's any type of fun. 5 years ago PSN was an online community. Now, it's the online community.
These are just facts. You may not agree with them, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Fixed it!
Re: Xbox Live > PSN
Ang you said so many false statements involving the PSP, you can't start dowloads on your PS3 by PSP. You can't message from your PSP, nor remove ppl(or even access your friends list). Yeah, home the biggest waste of time and space since the PSPgo.

Two words: REMOTE PLAY
I wrote it in caps to help you read it.
Also, Home is not the biggest waste of space, you are. Also, you strike me as the kind of delinquent (Big word ) that never goes outside of central plaza and decides s/he doesn't like Home. Am I right about that?

I have a PS3 and a PSP hooked up with remote play so don't pull that excuse because I know what they can do to each other. And I redownload PS home after every patch and go t o about 10 places, the most fun you have is sitting on a bench.

Are benches not firm enough for you?

No I'd just rather be chopping an enemy in half with a chainsaw.

Hey man, if you don't like home, fine, but, don't knock it .Freemon34 wrote:And I redownload PS home after every patch and go t o about 10 places, the most fun you have is sitting on a bench.
iLove home ; iLove to play EchoChrome, Bowling, Pool, Saucer Pop, The Game Making feature is really cool for getting players for MW2, MVC2, Street Fighter 4, Crash COmmando, etc.
Just because, your little attention span doesn't let you shoot or jump every 2 seconds, doesn't mean it sucks .
Jk.
Re: Xbox Live > PSN
OK lets get this straight.
As far as a PC is concerned
PSN - View friends list
- Compare Trophies
If I missed anything please fill me in. I really want to know.
XBL - View friends list
- Compare Acheivements
- View recent players list
- View friends of friends
- Message anyone on XBL
- Start downloads on the 360
- Change Gamer pic/ Motto/ and Bio
- MSN anyone on XBL as long as they are signed into messanger
You can also do this from about any browser including the PS3 PSP Blackberry etc on XBL
Video chat:
PSN
- Up to six person (dashboard)
XBL
- two person (dashboard)
- Four person while playing any XBLA card game. (ingame)
Voice support:
PSN
- ingame
- private chat (dashboard)
XBL
- ingame
- Party Chat (as long as your Xbox is on and signed in you can talk to anyone while doing anything IE: playing games, watching movie/tv shows, on the dash, in facebook, in twitter, looking at pics, and listenning to music)
- cross game private chat
Internet:
PSN
- browser
XBL
- None!! except facebook and twitter APP's maybe MSN....they don't really count
Movies/Tv shows:
PSN Canada:
- zip zero nadda
XBL Canada:
- Zune provides alot of movie and television content.
My general beefs:
PSN
- 75% of users on PSn never have mics
- No cross game chat or party chat
- No movies or tv shows for DL, except Playstation TV ads (which are awesome!!!!!!!)
XBL
- The horrible points system for purchasing anything. They sell in 700 point incriments, everything sells in 800 point increments. Forcing you to buy more points and have other ones carry over, that are easy to spend on small things.
I could not care less if you falsely think everyone on XBL are six year old kids. I'm proof that that is not true. If XBL is the only place where idiots are than why do I mute at least two people per match on PSN. I never had to even hear them on XBL as I was always in party chat with good friends.
I'm not interested in a pissing match either. If I said something not true than feel free to correct me. I will admit I'm wrong when I am wrong.

I HAD a 360 and now HAVE a PS3 for a reason. I do truly like the party system ALOT!!! I really hope Sony has an announcement about it at E3. The other thing most people forget is... PSN never even had an XMB until 2007. PSN is getting better all the time. As far as voice support is concerned it's not there yet (but getting there) I don't want to have a PC next to my PS3 just to have decent voice support. I want it all in one.
When I traded my 360 for a PS3 I was going to buy another 360 soon after. That isn't the case anymore. I am liking my PS3 more and more every day. I can build my friends list. It's a really slow process when most don't use mics, thats all. I registered to alot of websites such as this one to start the FL. I finally found a good one for me. G.O.M. Grumpy Old Men. They are a PS3 only clan for people just like me.......old. I'm 38 and as cool as most seem to be on this site. I want to game with people my own age or at least closer to my age..No offence.

We do have TV shows I have BBC Iplayer on my PS3 and it gives me the ability to catch up on Eastenders and anything broadcast on the BBC I will be able to watch on Iplayer.
and for Movies we have Netfilixs as do you.. and we have a Movie store, If you mean this about PSN
75% of users don't have mics ? do you have a link or evidence of this ? Just wondering
Technically we do have cross game chat and party chat - but it is text chat lol
As for all your other points yeah I agree with them, all our sound
