Other OS removal

Section is Hardware but i suppose this includes firmware ^^

As you know Sony plan to remove Other OS feature in 1 April on all PS3

...because of GeoHot (guy who first hacked iPhone) hacking attempts using this feature that would result piracy on platform, i know you guys don't care about it so much but it triggered hot discussion about Sony discussion and consumer rights, just look on comment flood on GeoHot blog:

I think it's fine, personally. I guess Sony doesn't want their PS3 to get hacked like a 360. Neither do I, mind you.

But, my friend's cousin's roommate really wanted nude patches. Not me though. Never me.

Nobody bought the ps3 bcuz of the Other OS and most people doesn't know what really is a large margin of ps3 users doesn't use this feat and the only who would get piss are the ones who really use this who are like a 2%? PSN is free so i don't mind the removal, yes it does bother me but i bought the ps3 for MGS4.

Personally i decided to use bypass update and wait for what Sony gonna to do

- Sure, many people used it, but majority [close to 80%] didn't .

I didn't do the Linux on mines though, it's WAY too much work .
I don't mind though, if it was really that deep, i could just get the same stuff on my computer .
