"Left 4 Dead" Coming To PS3?

Anyone up for Left 4 Dead on PS3? After the Portal 2 E3 megaton, “who knows”.

Valve PR boss Doug Lombardi has told PSM3 that the company’s taking a wait and see approach to bringing other in-house games, like Left 4 Dead, to PS3.

“Who knows what the future will bring,” said Lombardi.

As for any 3D and Move support on PS3 for Portal 2, there’s no chance.

“[Move and 3D] will have to wait for Portal 3 or another title,” he added.
“We won’t be supporting those in Portal 2.”

Portal 2 is the studio’s first in-house PS3 project, although it isn’t its first game on the system altogether: The Orange Box released for PS3 in 2007.

But, unlike Portal 2, that wasn’t handled by Valve; it was ported by EA, which didn’t go down well with most PS3 users.

EA Partners boss David DeMartini called the port a “challenge situation”.
Portal 2 releases next year.

Yes I think it will come to ps3 with steam cloud support also.

It would be cool if Left 4 Dead and L4D2 came on one disc. It's a possibility that it will come to PS3.

There's a huge difference. Valve didn't put Left 4 Dead on the PS3 because they didn't want to spend the time, money, or effort to put it on PS3. Mass Effect isn't on the PS3 because it is incredibly story-driven, and since Microsoft owns the publishing rights to the first game and they don't want to deliver a partial experience to PS3 fans.

So basically, Left 4 Dead on the PS3 is ten times more likely than Mass Effect on the PS3.

It had PS3 coding.

I do hope so, I only played left 4 dead 2 on my friends 360, and so left 4 dead 1 shouldn't be much different

I thought the first game was much better than the second. The second felt uninspired, and the new weapons and zombies didn't add much to the game, plus I hated the characters in the second game.

The reason it has a PS3 coding is because it uses the Unreal 3 engine. A multi-plat engine.

As for Left 4 Dead going to the PS3. Valve would be fucking nuts to keep it 360/PC only. They would make a shit load of money.

I used to have a Xbox 360..... and i had Left for Dead! and LFD2 for it!
they were amazing games! Gameplay-wise... then i got a Alienware Gaming Labtop and i got LFD2! i have to say i was turned into a PC gaming Fanboy once i started to get more games and behold the more powerfull 1080p HD quality! i love my Alienware!

I Think LFD2 Will look Much better! and will play much better on the PS3 than on the Xbox 360!
But sorry to say... PC Pwns and owns all consoles... and i realy dont think PS3 users are huge fans of Mindless Zombie Killing games... thats probuly why Valve chose Xbox in the Beginning

I dunno, theres quite a few zombie games on the PS3. I personally was a huge fan of Nazi Zombies on CoD WaW. The only shit thing was that there was no end to it, so you are destined to die.
